The first event today was the readers table.
There were 4 readers and a moderator, all them members of reading clubs, the only male was a teenager.
They debated about their reading habits and preferences (open or close ending, catchy beginning or deep story, best-seller or less known authors, classic or new writers, printed books or ebook…), how they became a fan of reading, would they take the chance to become writers?
It was a pretty interesting debate.
A men talked towards the end and read 3 poems he wrote at that moment, two for two of the dears and one for the teens which were attending the event, that poem was about the overuse of mobile phones. That was a kind surprise for everyone.
But before that was the opening and the master of ceremony made an introduction which was an hommage to Gabriel García Márquez (of which he is a huge fan and reading Márquez’ “100 years of solitude” made him love literature and got a will to become a writer) in which he mentioned the big supporters of ELACT (creator/editor, photographer, designer, fellow writers) in which the MC included me aswell.
I’m still surprised.
